Founded in 2019 by Jasmine Ancona in Burlington, Ontario, The Mom Market Collective emerged from recognizing that too many talented women were creating beautiful, meaningful products at home with no place to share them, as traditional markets were expensive, intimidating, or not built with modern entrepreneurs in mind. As the company expanded to 30+ locations across Canada from Vancouver Island to Nova Scotia, one major challenge surfaced: how to scale without losing the personal, community-first feel that made it work. As Jasmine explained, “One challenge I’ve faced as a founder was balancing rapid growth with maintaining a personal touch across 30 market locations.” This meant juggling event logistics, vendor onboarding, marketing, and community-building while ensuring each small business still felt heard and supported. Additionally, taking the brand beyond Canada into the U.S. meant facing complex paperwork and regulatory hurdles that come with expanding across borders.

Instead of letting growth dilute their purpose, the team intentionally built infrastructure around care by assembling a strong, supportive team and streamlining operations behind the scenes. Most importantly, they created a consistent rhythm of monthly training calls, direct check-ins, and open vendor communication to ensure every business still felt seen, valued, and supported.
