doola Powers Company Formation Inside Grok Build

doola’s MCP now installs as a plugin in Grok Build, xAI’s agentic coding platform.

A developer building in Grok Build can form a US company from the same terminal session where they’re writing the product, with no separate formation site.

Grok Build is the ninth AI platform where doola’s MCP runs. It’s the second, after Claude Code, where doola installs as a native plugin rather than as a server URL pasted into a settings screen.

This launch works differently from doola’s platform partnerships. doola built the plugin, published it in its own plugin marketplace, and documented the install path. Any Grok Build user can add it today.

A Coding Agent With a Plugin Store

xAI was founded in 2023 and is best known for the Grok chatbot. In February 2026 it became part of SpaceX in an all-stock deal that valued xAI at $250 billion.

Grok Build is its platform for agentic software development. On June 11, 2026, xAI opened a plugin marketplace for it.

Each plugin bundles skills, slash commands, agents, hooks and MCP servers into one installable package. The launch catalog was developer infrastructure: MongoDB, Vercel, Sentry, Chrome DevTools, Cloudflare and Superpowers.

Every tool in that catalog helps a developer ship code. None of them helps form the company that will own it.

Two Commands, No URL

Most MCP connections ask the user to find a settings panel, paste a server address and hope the configuration sticks.

Grok Build’s plugin system removes that step. The doola docs list the full install:

The –trust flag is required because a plugin can run hooks, MCP servers and skills on the user’s machine.

After installing, the user signs in to doola with OAuth (or creates an account), and the formation tools appear in the session.

What Happens Inside the Session

The plugin connects Grok Build to doola’s formation backend through MCP tool calls. There’s no UI.

The agent asks the founder for what the filing needs, such as the company name, member details, country of residence and addresses, and advances the formation step by step. It can also check progress across sessions, so a founder can close the terminal and pick up where they left off.

Each formation covers:

  • The state filing

  • An EIN

  • A registered agent

  • A business address

doola’s Formation API supports LLCs and C Corporations in all 50 states, for founders in more than 175+ countries.

Through the MCP, the flow forms Wyoming LLCs, the most common entity for solo builders and non-US founders forming their first US company.

Why Ship Formation as a Plugin

A developer in Grok Build has already shown what they want to do: build something and put it in front of users.

Payments, a bank account and app store listings all eventually ask for a legal entity. The entity usually gets handled late, in a different browser tab, after the founder has already lost a week of momentum.

Putting formation inside the agent removes the switch between tools. The founder doesn’t need to go looking for an incorporation service, because the tool that wrote the checkout flow can also start the company behind it.

doola MCP in Other AI Tools

Grok Build is one of seven AI platforms where doola MCP is active:

  1. Claude
  2. Replit
  3. ChatGPT
  4. Lovable
  5. Perplexity
  6. Vercel
  7. Grok Build

The setup differs a little by platform: seven connect by server URL, and Claude Code and Grok Build install as plugins. The filing at the other end is the same in all nine.

That portability matters most to the platforms that haven’t decided yet. A company evaluating embedded formation wants to know that the provider works reliably in more than one agent runtime, and that it can sit inside an automated flow without someone stepping in to fix things by hand.

When Ramp put doola formation next to its corporate card, Ramp’s Teddy Riker described the requirement as “one API that could handle formation reliably enough to sit inside an autonomous flow.”

Grok Build is another runtime where that requirement will hold.

“Builders don’t stop what they’re doing to go incorporate. They ship the product first and deal with the company when something forces them to. doola’s MCP now runs on nine AI platforms, and Grok Build is the second where it installs as a plugin, so the company can get formed in the same session as the code.”

The Company Layer Goes Where Builders Already Work

When to Choose doola

A developer in Grok Build didn’t open their terminal to incorporate. They opened it to ship.

Every new surface doola reaches, puts formation a little closer to where that work already happens. In Grok Build, that surface is the agent session itself.
