Whop has built doola’s Formation API directly into its dashboard, letting merchants file for an LLC without ever leaving the platform. Entity filings, EIN applications, and registered agent service now run inside Whop’s native interface, instead of opening in a separate window.

This is doola’s next major integration in the Formation API space following Ramp, and another sign that business formation is becoming a native feature of the platforms entrepreneurs already use.

This isn’t a start from scratch. Whop was already using doola’s iFrame tool to let users form a business, and doola was already recommending Whop to its own users for payment processing.

The two companies were already built into each other’s product, so what’s changing is the depth of that connection, not the existence of it.

Instead of routing merchants through a separate iFrame with its own branding and its own steps, doola powers LLC formation inside Whop, with doola’s Formation API handling every filing in the background.

Eliminating Onboarding Friction for Whop

While the initial iFrame solution enabled a fast launch, Whop’s team saw an opportunity to create a fully native, white-labeled onboarding journey.

By moving to a direct API integration, Whop embedded the LLC formation step directly into its merchant payout and compliance setup flow.

As creators configure their store parameters and prepare to accept payments, they can now input their business formation details seamlessly within Whop’s native UI.

Behind the scenes, doola’s API handles state incorporation filings, registered agent assignment, and EIN acquisition asynchronously. This keeps creators inside Whop workspace while automatically unlocking access to Whop’s card program, faster payouts, and financial services stack as soon as the entity is live.

The Team Behind the Build

Bringing the integration to life took close collaboration between the engineering team from doola and Whop, working directly with Whop’s leadership to get the experience right.

“Our mission at Whop is to deliver everyone a sustainable income. Whop is building the first end-to-end API for running a business, enabling money movement, customer acquisition, and mobilization of an on-demand workforce. Working with doola, our merchants can now formalize their companies instantly.”

- Bear Matthews, Head of Platforms, Whop

What Whop Merchants Need to Know

The flow will be available to domestic and international merchants inside their Whop workspace. For founders outside the U.S. specifically, this replaces several disconnected steps with one path.

For Whop, it also ties formation directly to cards, faster payouts, and its broader banking tools, since a merchant only becomes eligible for that stack once a U.S. entity is in place.

Built for Different Business Types

Although Ramp and Whop operate on completely different business models, both independently chose doola. This is because both platforms needed the exact same advantages: dependable support for international founders and software tailored to their users’ specific entity types.

Specifically, Ramp leverages doola for venture-backed startups that require C Corporations. Meanwhile, Whop relies on doola for digital creators and merchants who need LLCs, all running on the same core infrastructure.

For Whop, international support was the decisive factor. A significant portion of Whop’s merchants are based outside the United States and frequently run into regulatory roadblocks when setting up an American business.

While most incorporation vendors treat cross-border filings as an afterthought, doola designed its system around international founders from day one.

The EIN process is the clearest example of this. doola offers an expedited path for founders without a U.S. Social Security number, dropping standard IRS wait times from 4–8 weeks down to 2–6. For a merchant on Whop, that cuts the timeline to launch and accept payments from months to weeks.

Business Formation Is Becoming a Native Feature

When to Choose doola

Whop won’t be the last platform to move in this direction.

As fintechs, marketplaces, and creator platforms race to get merchants earning faster, business formation is moving directly into the software users already rely on, eliminating the need for a separate third-party site.

“While our initial launch focuses entirely on formation, the long-term vision for this integration is expansive. We intend to scale this infrastructure to power embedded bookkeeping, continuous tax compliance, and ongoing regulatory management for every Whop merchant who requires a permanent US business foundation.”

- Arjun Mahadevan, Founder and CEO, doola

For doola, setting up the business is just the starting line. The roadmap moves straight into automated bookkeeping and tax compliance, all running on the same backend and built directly into the tools founders already use daily.
